The path to my creative voice has been a winding one…

1990’s

Before I even graduated I was offered a job at a nonprofit in Kansas City, Kansas, managing an entrepreneurial training program for youth in the inner city, which seemed like a great opportunity to put my degrees to good use for my community. This was probably one of the hardest jobs I’ve ever had, and one I’m most proud of.

Early 2000’s

After my daughter, Maya, was born in 2003 in Oklahoma City, I continued doing youth work for the state of Oklahoma, the field I had worked in since graduating from college, but began to feel a calling to do something else— I just wasn’t sure what yet.

In 2008 I started a job in copier sales and then moved into advertising sales. It was when I worked in sales that I began to get some inkling of my natural talents in marketing and design. I became the go-to person for designing marketing material, and realized then that this was actually one of my zones of genius.

2010’s

In 2012 I was offered a job as an editor for an online magazine in Oklahoma City. I’m an ideas machine, and this role allowed me to flourish creatively and expand the limits of my writing and online marketing abilities. It was both challenging and great fun.

In 2013 I moved to Costa Rica with my daughter and new husband, where we launched a web design business, working exclusively in WordPress. I have been working in web design and marketing ever since.

After returning to the U.S. in 2016 I got to focus on being a mom and took on web design projects as they came my way. I became the communications chair on the board of a local nonprofit in Kansas, where I was able to do two of my favorite things at once—creative marketing and serve my community.

Today

I love the combination of creativity, strategy, and technical skills required to be a web designer, so in 2023 I officially relaunched my business solo, under the name Holli Dale Design Studio. Today I design websites in Squarespace and Wix.

And what I love most? Helping my clients create websites and brands they love and that work to launch them to higher levels of success in their business.

I can’t imagine doing anything else.

EXPLORATION AND CURIOSITY FUEL MY CREATIVITY.

As a web designer, I relish the freedom to move and create from anywhere. With my daughter, Maya, now navigating college life, I'm seizing the opportunity to scratch that travel itch. And sometimes my favorite girl gets to join me on adventures, which is the best.

TRAVELING FEEDS MY SOUL. It's where I feel most alive, deeply connected to the world. It’s also how I tap into my creativity, drawing inspiration from the interesting people and beauty surrounding me.

After spending 3 years in sunny San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, I’m resettling into my hometwon of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma-USA. After spending 13 years away, I’m returning as a different person with a new perspective and a deeper wisdom than when I left. An entirely new kind of adventure.

I’m a dedicated yoga student
and teacher

Yoga is more than physical exercise for me. It is a spiritual pursuit and a way of life. IT IS AN EXERCISE TO KNOW MYSELF.

In 2020 I was going through a divorce, along with the world-changing pandemic with the rest of the souls on this planet. I decided I could drink my sorrows away (which I attempted for a short while) or find something else to help me cope. I returned to a practice I discovered as a teenager, but it became so much more to me than I ever knew it could be.

YOGA WAS MY SOMETHING ELSE AND IT SAVED ME IN SO MANY WAYS.
